The urgency of global Plastic Pollution requires effective and prompt solutions. As the individuals and the government are getting closer to achieving the minimum waste, the businesses are developing solutions for the public. Promoting the new Plastics Economy, the development in the Plastic Recycling industry more resourcefully, 99Plas was invited at 2nd Sino-British Recycling Economics Forum on the 21st of September, 2019.

This was a part of the campaign ‘Green is GREAT’ launched by the UK government as a part of World Manufacturing Congress, the UK embassy in China. 99Plas being present at this event, supported the initiative and introduced the effort of 99Plas to bring a change in the Closed Loop Supply Chain of Plastics. WMC was held to acknowledge the partnership between the UK and the Chinese government to showcase efforts, to strengthen relationships and inventive approach to build platforms with more than 40 UK organisations together with technology, advanced materials, environmental services and education. The audience was mainly, representatives of the Chinese government, industry associates, representative of the British government and the businesses in the circular economy industry chain provided an opportunity to explore the direction to the zero-waste and regenerating plastic supply chain.

At the event were present Chris Wood, Consul General of the British Consulate in Shanghai, Xu Hengqiu, Director of the Department of Ecological Environment of Anhui Province, and Neal Carlin, Director of the Climate Change and Environment Department of the British Embassy in China.

Sino-British are actively contributing to bringing change in plastic pollution; with 99Plas being a part of this event believes in the magnificent prospects in the sustainable development of the Plastics Supply chain.
